The Birth of the Co-op
Started in 1976 by a group of Life University students with a hunger for bulk natural foods, this humble birth in a tiny storefront in downtown Marietta, Georgia, set the tone of its continuous growth and expansion: the willingness of health-conscious people of diverse, multicultural backgrounds dedicating their time, talent, and energy to build an alternative grocery store.
